Regardless of the backlash from period one, the 2nd period of 13 main reasons why covers many different difficult subjects, a number of which can be triggering to audiences. The characters are grappling with drug abuse, slut shaming, suicide, and more in any given episode.
So that you can help people who might be working with these problems on their own, Netflix included a caution movie right before the second period’s first episode and trigger warnings before visual or violent episodes.
